Trauma lives in the body. So does the path back to safety.

In this episode of Embodied Dialogues, host Jan Winhall welcomes Deborah Korn, PsyD and Michael Baldwin, co-authors of Every Memory Deserves Respect: EMDR, the Proven Trauma Therapy with the Power to Heal.

Jan and Debbie bring the therapist's lens. Michael speaks from his own lived experience of healing from trauma with EMDR. Together, they'll explore how intentional grounding, especially in those shaky moments, helps the body stay steady enough to process and integrate difficult memories.

Whether through EMDR or FSPM, this conversation looks at how practitioners guide the body to safety, and how resilience grows when memory and body are honored together.

WHAT WE'LL EXPLORE

  • How trauma is held in the body

  • The role of grounding in shaky moments during memory work

  • How titration shows up in both EMDR and FSPM

  • What it feels like to heal from trauma, told from the inside

  • How resilience emerges when memory and body work together

WHO THIS IS FOR

Therapists, coaches, educators, and anyone curious about how the body supports healing from difficult memories. You're welcome to join live and bring your questions.
