Whitnee Chavez (they/them) is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Certified FSPM Facilitator dedicated to fostering an environment of belonging where diverse identities are honored.


Based at Bellevue Family Counseling, they offer in-person and telehealth services for adults, teens (15+), and fluid families. They specialize in somatic trauma-informed care, with a specific focus on supporting BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and neurodiverse communities. Their practice integrates the Felt Sense Polyvagal Model (FSPM) with modalities such as Somatic Experiencing (SE), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Gottman Method. 


In addition to client work, Whitnee is a Washington State Approved Supervisor and facilitates clinical supervision for associate-level clinicians. Currently a doctoral student in Counseling Supervision and Education, Whitnee aspires to empower the next generation of therapists.
